Why Does Chiropractic
Adjustment Work?

All parts of the body, all muscles, all organs, skin are connected by a network of nerves that run from each site to the spinal column nerve bundle and then up to the brain. Electrical impulses travel back and forth along these circuits giving commands and providing feedback so the brain can make proper adjustments.

One of the miracles of the human body is its ability to heal itself. When you feel pain someplace in the body, the nerves are sending a message to the brain that something is wrong. If the pain is the result of pressure on the nerves anything the nerve controls will not function property. Chiropractic adjustment seeks to restore function in the affected joints and reduce irritation in the related nerves. Once the impulses can pass freely up and down the nerve pathways, the body can function normally.

Many times a simple adjustment will bring immediate relief, but the muscles in the affected area are not strong enough to hold the joints in place. A series of exercises may be prescribed and repeated adjustments may be necessary until the body can fully return to its normal healthy state.

An annual chiropractic examination is strongly recommended even if there is no discomfort or pain to maintain the body's inherent wellness.
